Couples Psychotherapy
We all exist in relationship with others. We are shaped and formed by our earliest relationships with our care givers. Relationships can be places we experience relational wounding but they can also be places where we can heal and grow; they give us opportunities to learn more about ourselves.
We all want our relationships, to be full of love, connection and emotional safety and yet relationships today can be under a lot of pressure and they can often be places of intense emotion and disconnection.
I can support you in gaining new insights into your relationship, ways to deepen connection, reestablish intimacy and trust, offer hope and the real possibility of change. Through a collaborative process I can help you to understand your own internal processes, acknowledge your needs and skilfully communicate them in a way that supports continued connection with both yourself and your partner. I can support you in understanding how to participate in difficult conversations in courageous and skilful ways, helping you to repair ruptures and miscommunications. Change takes time and with patience, respect and practise I can support you to do this.
